Call for Expression of Interest
The Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy (BCMD), in collaboration with DWA, invites expressions of interest from qualified video editors/production consultants to produce a short documentary-style video highlighting the Youth Camp conducted under the project Building Inclusive Democracy: Civil Society, Parliamentarians, Media, and Youth Strengthen Good Governance in Bhutan.
The video will capture the key experiences, learning outcomes, and reflections of participants during the Youth Camp. BCMD will provide the selected consultant with raw video footage and photographic materials from the camp. The consultant will be responsible for editing and compiling these materials into a compelling short video that effectively communicates the spirit, objectives, and impact of the programme.
Scope of Work
Video Concept and Storyline
- Collaborate with BCMD to understand the objectives, theme, and key outcomes of the Youth Camp.
- Develop a clear narrative structure that highlights major activities, participant perspectives, and learning moments from the camp.
Editing and Post-Production
- Review and curate the raw footage and visual materials provided by BCMD.
- Produce a documentary video (approximately 10 to 15 minutes) that presents the Youth Camp engagingly and coherently.
- Integrate background music, subtitles (English), transitions, graphics, and voiceovers where necessary to enhance the overall quality and storytelling.
Output
- Final video delivered in high-definition format suitable for online platforms and public presentations.
- Edited video submitted in .mp4 and .mov formats.
Required Documents
Applicants are requested to submit the following:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the individual(s) involved in video editing and production
- Portfolio or samples of previous work, particularly short event or programme videos
- Detailed budget breakdown outlining all costs related to editing and post-production
- References, including contact details of individuals or organisations familiar with the applicant’s work
