Webinar on “Cultivating Civic Mindset and Civic Action”
Posted by Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy, March 17th, 2022
Civic education is vital to democratic forms of government. It equips and empowers citizens with the agency to influence and shape society and to be active in democratic processes. To contribute to shaping a democracy that serves Bhutan’s needs and more precisely to rethink how we teach civics education, BCMD is organising a webinar on “Cultivating Civic Mindset and Civic Action” on March 25, 2022 from 04:00 PM to 05:30 PM.
With perspectives from international and national academia, and practitioners from a school context and a civil society organisation, the conference will explore the status of civic education in the country and deliberate on how the education system can respond to securing a democracy that serves the needs of Bhutan.
