Members of Parliament and CSOs Visit Berlin

A delegation of Bhutanese Members of Parliament and civil society representatives visited Berlin to learn how Germany’s parliament and civil society work together.

Over four days, the delegation met the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs of the German Bundestag, the German-South Asian Parliamentary Group, the Berlin House of Representatives, the General Association for the Rights of Disabled People (ABiD) and civil society networks. Discussions covered legislative processes and committee oversight, support for civil society, disability inclusion and gender equality. The delegation returned with practical recommendations for Bhutan.
