Podcasting workshop: Engaging and Sharing Youth Voice

BCMD’s efforts to inspire active citizens through youth engagement has seen positive outcomes over the years. Mapping exercises at Paro and Thimphu, setting up of community radio at Taktse and summits and forums for youth have given more space for youth to practice civic engagement. Engagement through discussion on issues to leading local actions are some notable steps taken by the BCMD and the youth.

Podcasting, telling stories using audio is one of the powerful tools of storytelling. BCMD have conducted over 10 podcasting pieces of training in the past in Sherubtse, College of Language and Culture Studies, Paro College of Education, Samtse College of Education and in Thimphu.

The Podcasting training will enable youth to learn the skills of audio production, audio editing, interviewing, script writing, transcription and teamwork.
